Hello I need a template for a 1″ square could you help me? I’ve been looking everywhere for days & haven’t had any luck. Thanks it would really help.

      Hi Cassandra,

We don’t carry the 1×1 inch machine yet. But we should be getting a store model in next week. So I’ll be getting a template done for it as soon as we get it in stock.

      Thanks!!

    Hi Cassadra,

The 1×1 inch square button making template is posted.

Having a little trouble filling the page with the badge designs. I have followed the instructions, but it keeps putting more than 48 badges on the page and there are a few that are cut off at the bottom.

Please could you steer me in the right direction!

    Thank you.

      Hi Phil,

What size is your page? Did you make it 8×10 and 300ppi?

      • Phil Cracknell says:

Hi, thanks for getting back to me so soon.

Yep, 8 x 10″ and 300 ppi. The page gives me 6 badges across and 8 rows down, but the 8th row is cut in the middle.

        Thanks.

        • admin says:

Huh. that doesn’t really make sense. I assume you are using the 100.psd 1 inch template. On that template you should only have room for 5 across and 7 down on an 8×10 300 ppi page. Is the template still at 300ppi (481×429 px – 1.603×1.43 inches)? Are you making a selection before you define the pattern?

Can you email me the files you are working with? info@buttonmakers.net

          Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca,

I was using the wrong template! How do I change the layer to RGB, as the 1″ download from your site is in gray and I cannot put coloured images into the design.

    Thank you.

    • admin says:

Okay, well the wrong template thing makes sense (sort of), but it should be RGB mode… Sometimes your internet browser does odd things to the PSD files when they download.

In the full version of photoshop it’s just Image -> Mode -> RGB (don’t flatten). I don’t have Elements in front of me at the moment. If that doesn’t work you can always open a new document that is the same size 481×429 px – 1.603×1.43 inches and drag all the layers and paths in.

Let me know if you have any more trouble!!

  5. Annabel says:

    Hi Rebecca!

Thanks for the video. Unfortunately, I have photoshop elements 9, and I’m unable to drag my image onto the template with the move tool. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  6. admin says:

    Hi Annabel,

I’ve not used Elements 9, but I’m positive the move tool works the same in that version. What type of file is the image you are using? Is it a Jpeg, or something else? There are a couple things that might be happening. You may be using a file type that is incompatible, or maybe you are dragging the file into the template, but you can’t see it because the sizes are so different.

You are welcome to post additional information here about the symptoms of the problem. Or you are also welcome to call me at 1-800-927-8330 so I can walk you through it.

    Thanks!
    Rebecca

  7. Melissa says:

Is there a way to do multiply (different) pictures on one page?

  8. admin says:

    Hi Melissa,

The way I usually do it is to make a new layer for every design. Fill the layer with the design and then mask out or cut out the number of graphics I don’t need. You could also drag them on to a page individually.

    Thanks!
    Rebecca
